Job Description Summary
The Information Design and Corporate Communications (IDCC) Department at Bentley University invites application for a non-tenure track, full-time position at the rank of Lecturer to teach undergraduate experience design (XD) courses beginning Fall 2023.

The primary function of the position is to teach XD courses to our undergraduate students. These courses include design thinking, visual communication, mobile and web design, and prototyping. The Lecturer contract carries an eight-course teaching load in one academic year. Lecturers are also expected to engage in departmental and university service. The Department is looking for applicants who are interested in working with students outside the classroom in a variety of capacities (e.g., coordinating internships, managing the IDCC DESIGNHOUSE blog). Lecturers are also asked at times to participate in university-wide committees and events. The successful applicant will be expected to be an engaged participant in the Information Design and Corporate Communication Department and in the Bentley community. Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have an M.Sc. or a Ph.D. in an appropriate field.

Qualified applicants must demonstrate evidence of or strong promise of teaching excellence. This can be established by full-time or adjunct teaching at an accredited college or university. Applicants must be familiar with Blackboard and Zoom or have a willingness to learn. Bentley University makes training available for both platforms. Experience teaching undergraduates is preferred.
