Board members are volunteers that are responsible for leading the efforts of the organization. The Director of Volunteers is responsible for coordinating all volunteer efforts at UXPA International, both with the annual conference and with regular activities all year long. I’ve been the volunteer production manager at the Journal of Usability Studies since 2015. I work with the editorial team to manage uxpajournal.org, and am primarily responsible for making sure every journal issue gets published to the website four times per year. World Usability Day aims to raise standards so that technology works to harness human potential. Every year events happen around the world to bring together different communities and celebrate how we can make our world easy for all. The theme for 2020 is Human-Centered AI. We seek to explore design systems that are both highly automated and allow a great degree of user control and will result in to expand human capabilities 1000-fold.
