UXPA 2026 UX Strategy Topic Chair

Meet Anamol Rajbhandari, a Product Designer based in the UK, and UX Strategy Topic Chair for the UXPA International 2026 Conference in Vegas. With a passion for evidence-based UX and community building, Anamol shares his experiences volunteering with UXPA International.

How did you first learn about UXPA International?

I stumbled across UXPA International on LinkedIn while exploring UX communities and events. It caught my eye as a great platform for professionals to connect with industry veterans and contribute to the growth and innovation of the broader UX industry.

What are your activities as a UXPA International Volunteer?

I began contributing to UXPA in early 2025 as a Design Volunteer for the 2025 Amsterdam conference, where I helped curate content from thought-leader interviews to create engaging short-form materials. I am continuing in a similar role for the 2026 Vegas conference. But now, primarily as Topic Chair for UX Strategy, I focus on reviewing submissions and helping shape the program.

What motivated you to become a volunteer with us, initially?

I was inspired to support the UX community that influenced my growth, while building connections, and specifically drew me to UXPA because of the commitment to fostering innovation and inclusivity.

What do you find most challenging about your role as a volunteer?

The biggest challenge is upholding the highest standards in my contributions, even as a volunteer, wanting to deliver top-quality work while collaborating with industry leaders who set the bar high.

What challenges have you encountered in your role as a volunteer?

Beyond time management during peak times, it’s navigating the expectations of working with seasoned pros and ensuring my input adds real value without overcommitting.

What motivates you to keep investing your time and effort?

It gives me a broader, multidimensional perspective on UX work, allowing me to help a wider range of people in a welcoming environment where collaboration feels open and tactful, and it gives me the chance to engage with a broader range of ideas than I typically do day-to-day.

What is the most rewarding, the most enjoyable aspect of being a volunteer?

The collaborative spirit and seeing how collective efforts come together to create meaningful events that spark new ideas and connections in the UX world.

What would you say to someone who would like to become a volunteer?

Definitely reach out. UXPA is volunteer-driven and a full of opportunities for all levels, and it’s a rewarding way to expand your horizons and meet inspiring people.

How can someone connect with you or learn more about your work?

Feel free to message me on LinkedIn at https://linkedin.com/in/anamol-rajbhandari or check out my contributions on platforms like UXmatters for more on my approach to design.

What's a fun or unexpected fact about yourself you'd like to share?

I’m always tinkering with productivity tools and automation to streamline workflows for myself. I also love listening to podcasts, and nowadays talking directly to AI, particularly ChatGPT and Grok, to get feedback and explore ideas has been massively productive.
