With great sadness we share that Thomas (Tom) Stuart Tullis, Ph.D. passed away last week. Greatly respected and admired within the UX community he is a leader, author and professor that pioneered the UX industry.  UXPA International would like to thank Tom for everything he has given to the industry. He was not only a huge contributor to the UX industry, but he also was our UXPA. For many years he has been our International Conference photographer, taking beautiful photos of the event every year he attended. He has also played a prominent role on the board of UXPA Boston. We’ve been motoring advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) over the past weeks. Given the current situation we’ve taken the decision to delay the UXPA International 2020 conference. UXPA International will now run between August 31 and September 03 in Baltimore, MD. Pre-conference courses will be held on Monday August 31 2020.The main conference will be from September 01 – 03 2020. You can find out more information on our conference website. I hope everyone had a healthy and relaxing holiday season. 2019 was a busy one for our UXPA International Board! We presented some great online courses and webinars, held a fantastic annual conference in Scottsdale, AZ and had our first ever Latin American conference in Chile, UXLat. We reworked our website, helped provide more support for our local chapters and published more excellent content in both our magazine and journal. Sadly, we also had to see the departure of three of our amazing Board members, who terms ended December 2019. One of UXPA International’s aspirations is to bring resources to the UX community and our members. Webinars, articles of our magazine and journal, short courses and, of course, our annual conference are great experiences that gather our members and the professional community together. This year we wanted to expand our efforts on sharing knowledge and content so we went to Latin America, specifically to Santiago, Chile, for our First UXLAT Conference.
