Welcome 2021!

I know I am stating the obvious when I say “2020 was a pretty stressful year”.   From the perspective of UXPA organizationally, it was also a year where we all had to wear many hats and be super flexible. Postponing our annual in-person conference (set to take place in June 2020) was the first of many hurdles our Board had to work through. We had to come up with a Plan B quickly, and we did. Remembering Josephine Scott

Josephine Scott

We have sad news to share with our UXPA family. Josephine “Josie” Scott, long-time UXPA member, died of breast cancer on December 25, 2020. Josie was a frequent attendee and presenter at UXPA conferences, as well as being active with the local UX community around Detroit, Michigan. She retired a few years ago and left a lasting legacy of mentorship and friendship in our community. A bio from a few years ago read: “She specializes in user experience research: facilitating customer “ah-hah!” moments and synthesizing their insight into digital solutions. Before her career in user experience, she administered Michigan elections and continues to promote better user experience in voting and civic life.
