Toronto in June? Yes, Please!

I am sure you have already heard: this year the UXPA 2017 International Conference will be held in Toronto, Canada, June 6-8th and I am so excited! The Westin Harbour Castle is our conference hotel, and not only does it have a great conference center, it’s also in a fantastic location (waterfront, check!).

Although I am fortunate enough to serve on the UXPA International Board of Directors, this year I am chairing my 3rd UXPA International Conference. My wonderful co-chair Daphne Puerto and I are working very hard to make this conference special. However, it takes a village: A UX village in this case.

Our fearless Executive Director Rich Gunther and our Office Manager Jennifer Ferrell work with us daily (sometimes nightly). Our committee chairs and talented volunteers have pulled together a program that has something for everyone. And I can’t forget the rest of my UXPA Board, a.k.a. “Team Doers”.  They put so much effort into the conference, and the organization in general.

So, why should you attend UXPA 2017? Are you a UX professional looking for some new, innovative thinking? We have that.  Are you a designer wanting to learn more about UX testing and research? Done.  A student looking to network and learn about how other companies integrate UX into their processes? We have that too.  Plenty of great pre-conference courses, sessions and as always, a balance of some great receptions and activities too.

UXPA is not just for researchers and consultants. It’s for all types of UX professionals and students who touch UX in some way, whether it’s via design, development, product management or research. We would love to see you this June for the 2017 conference, so don’t forget to register!
