What you’ll do:

  • Work with customers to understand their product and the goals for the UX study
  • Define user scenarios, tasks and questions 
  • Work with the Applause project manager to define participant profiles
  • Administer remote unmoderated studies (survey and video)
  • Run moderated studies (mostly remote, possibly in-person)
  • Analyze session results (qualitative and quantitative) 
  • Create and present a custom report that delivers compelling insights and provides actionable feedback to guide the customer’s product and design decisions
Qualifications: 
  • 3+ years in user experience and UX research 
  • A degree in human factors, psychology, social sciences or a related field
  • Comfortable planning, scoping, conducting and communicating research
  • Great communicator who is comfortable interacting with marketing and business development stakeholders, designers and engineers 
  • Comfortable working remotely from your home
  • Native/near-native speaker of Japanese. Comfortable working in English
  • Occasional availability during US business hours to participate in customer calls and reply to customer emails in a timely manner
  • Preferably some B2B experience in addition to your consumer-oriented experience
  • Preferably some interaction design background
